How you make a difference:
The Security Director is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of staff, residents/detainees, and the general public in the facility.
They are required to create, implement, and maintain comprehensive guidelines and protocols for the security department's operation and function as a member of the senior management team, providing support for the medical and clinical mission of the facility.
The Security Director also plans, coordinates, and directs the actions of the security department staff and assumes primary responsibility for the security, custody, and control of residents/detainees and all facility buildings and property.
Key
Responsibilities:
The Security Director oversees the security department to maintain a safe and secure environment for the staff, residents/detainees, and the general public, utilizing a participative approach and overseeing investigations of any incidents.
The Security Director manages security-related budget items, creates and maintains comprehensive security-related policies and procedures, and conducts on-the-job training for assigned personnel.
The Security Director evaluates the performance of assigned personnel, maintains an open line of communication with all officers, and coordinates emergency responses and off-site transports.
The Security Director ensures compliance with governing bodies and provides support and assistance to the medical and clinical staff in their efforts to provide care and treatment to the resident/detainee population.
The Security Director maintains control of facility keys and security equipment, reviews security-related discrepancies and hazards, and works with the management team to create and maintain security-related rules and protocols for the resident/detainee population.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Business, or related field with ten (10) years' experience in correctional, security, or related work.
Education and progressive work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree at management's discretion.
Experience Five (5) years' experience in a supervisory capacity.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
