Our Payroll Specialist handles payroll activities for the hospital.
This includes weekly data entry, bi-weekly reconciliation by departments, summaries of hours, sick and vacation balances, internal controls and other reports, as well as analysis of monthly management reports via general ledger and budget.
What you bring to the table:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent certification required
Experience:
Two (2) years payroll experience, preferably in a healthcare environmentWorking knowledge of payroll procedures and general clerical experienceKnowledge of various software programsWorking knowledge of business English, good grammar and spelling skills, and the ability to develop correspondence, reports, and operational directivesExcellent organizational and communications skillsLicenses/Certifications:
None required What you will do:
Performs manual edits to correct employee hours in Kronos including missed punches.
Notifies Supervisors of employees with missing punches.
Reconciles Infinium employee data to Kronos data such as for new hires, terminations, etc.
Ensures accuracy of data in both systems.
Prints and reviews Payroll Employee transaction and total hours worked report and person served worked hours on a bi-weekly basis.
Sends copies to Corporate office via e-mail after the Business Manager has approved the reports.
Reviews bi-weekly payroll registers and sorts employee checks by department upon receipt from corporate office.
Enters Person Served worked hours into Infinium and reconciles hours entered to individual time sheets.
Processes prior period adjustments due to missed hours, bonuses, short pays and sends information to corporate office to process the checks.
Assists Finance Coordinator in reconciling total Kronos bi-weekly hours to Payroll Register and in completing the random audit of selected employees on a bi-weekly basis by providing employee hours and other information.
E-mails Overtime reports to all departments for approval and explanation.
Prepares overtime reports for the Administration Department.
Maintains payroll registers, overtime reports, manual edit documentations, HR personnel action form and payroll check listing by department (blue copies).
Responds to all Payroll inquiries on a timely and courteous manner.
Provides assistance to employees who are not familiar with payroll policies and procedures.
Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.
Must be able to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.
Must be alert at all times; pay close attention to details.
Must be able to work under stress on a regular or continuous basis.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
